In 2014, I was invited to visit a remarkable program at the Stetson Branch of the New Haven Public Library in Newhallville. This group of young girls embodied self-love and empowerment, supporting one another while engaging in meaningful community activities—visiting hospital patients, creating arts and crafts, and fostering a sense of shared purpose. Under the library's visionary leadership, the program cultivated positivity and a commitment to improving their community, even at such a young age.

This video aims to challenge stereotypes about Newhallville, a neighborhood often unfairly labeled as dangerous. Instead, it highlights the compassion, strength, and hope thriving within this vibrant community. There are also some cool AfterEffects animations, espeically the owl at the end. I thought that was a nice touch. I also produced the background music.
