it started as a way of living, and turned into something amazing.
Chapter 6. Students
Andrew got a job at a coffeeshop his second semester. He did this for a bunch of reasons. It wasn't just to help his dad feel like he was trying to pay him back. It wasn't just to meet pretty girls who passed through his line all day. And it wasn't just because there was nothing to do anyways between 12 and 5 on tuesdays and thursdays.
It was for all those reasons, and more. Andrew was a freshman at an Ivy League school. He did exceptionally well at his prepartory high school. It was a private school where everyone did fairly well, but a few dropped out. His biggest concern in his new environment was whether he could prove to be more effective than the other students in his new school.
College was very much like high school, but it was significantly more intense than high school in every regard. The girls were more intense. The coursework was more intense. The parties were also, too, more intense. But there was not much actual structural difference between his life in high school, and the life he currently now lived.
On one such tuesday, Andrew through town from his dormatory to get to the coffeeshop where he worked. He passed by people who were obviously professors. He walked by old Mr. Macgurshkle, but he didn't know his name.
