System Design. Step Three.
The final step is to use the information gathered in steps one and two.

1. Selecting the Equipment
Determine the type of panels, the number of panels, the size of inverter, and the manufacturer for the equipment.

2. Getting State and Federal Financing
State incentives for solar electrical installations exist, and so do Federal incentives. Currently the Federal incentive is a tax write-off on 30% of the cost of the system.

3. Finding An Installer
Take the specifications, including the building plan, the electrical diagram, the types of panels, and any other information you can gather, and bring that information to multiple installers. Find the installer that seems to be able to provide you the best deal and service. Don't rely on installation companies to give you an unbiased assessment! Do as much of your own homework as possible.
