Jon Anderson
local legend of new haven skateboarding

Only one man can rip the halfpipe in Edgewood Park like Jon Anderson. And that man is none other than Jon Anderson.

A New Haven native, who spent much time skateboarding in the eighties, he recognizes on the oldschool style, which by definition, is his school.

He went to high school at Wilbur Cross.

He's all about the inverted aerials, the handplants, frontside and backside airs. These are tricks that newschool kids are scared of. He doesn't wear pads but he knows how to fall.

He's mysteriously older than the rest of everybody. Maybe in his mid thirties? Still skates better than anybody out there.

quick to help somebody out with a few pointers, but only upon request. Jon Anderson makes edgewood skatepark a truly rad place.

he also offered to repair the ramps with the acquisition of a cement mixer on his own, due to the lack of participation by the city to take care of the ramps.

jon spends much of his extra time repairing his newly bought home in westville along the west rock ridge.
