For the Yurt project, I engineered a comprehensive live streaming solution tailored for a unique, rustic environment. The setup included:
- PTZ Cameras and Controller: Multiple Pan-Tilt-Zoom cameras were installed and remotely controlled to capture different angles and perspectives inside the yurt, allowing for smooth transitions and focus shifts without manual intervention.
- ATEM Switcher: An ATEM hardware switcher managed live video feeds from the cameras, enabling seamless cuts, transitions, and overlays to create a professional broadcast feel.
- GarageBand: Used for live audio mixing and processing, GarageBand ensured clear, balanced sound by integrating microphones and ambient audio sources.
- OBS (Open Broadcaster Software): Served as the streaming platform, encoding and broadcasting the mixed audio and video feeds to the chosen online platform, while allowing real-time monitoring and adjustments.
This project combined technical expertise and creative flexibility to overcome the challenges of streaming from an unconventional space, delivering a polished and engaging virtual event.
