Project Details

In 2013, while filming the Boo Slick Show, I had the opportunity to capture a music video in Newhallville, one of New Haven’s most challenging and vibrant neighborhoods. The shoot was conducted in a single evening, using a modified Olympus Pen E-PL1 paired with a 1970s 35mm Rokinon lens, boasting an impressive F-stop of 1.8. This setup perfectly complemented the ambient lighting, adding a cinematic quality to the footage. Despite the reputation of the area, the shoot went remarkably smoothly, leaving a lasting impression.

To this day, that project resonates in the community, earning me recognition as a go-to music video producer in the neighborhood. Everyone involved in the video continues to share it, solidifying its impact. I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity and the trust that made this unique project possible.
