Regional Feature:

Danny B takes you to Beacon Falls, a place nestled between Naugatuck and Bethany.

Bethany is just north of New Haven. It's right up route 63, known also in our vicinity as Whalley Avenue. What exists in that part of New Haven County?

Allow local tour expert to show you. Danny B took TownOfNewHaven way out of town, to some trails in the area known as Beacon Falls.

Beacon Falls indeed dows contain a series of small waterfalls. It's a mostly rural area with nothing but lots of farms and forests, with many natural landmarks deeply hidden within its interior terrain.

Much of the woods remains undisturbed, and somewhat resembles the habitat of the Pacific Northwest forests (see Muir Woods article, May 2006 Edition).

Even out here, though, it's hard to reach beyond the influence of human touch. Graffiti even extenuates underneath a train bridge, with the style of "Seek Jah First," some kind of graffiti writer.
