Writer's block means
your eraser is sharper than your pencil.
You try to breathe ink back into your pen,
but it only writes "Do not resuscitate."
Writer's block is the block you live on,
a neighborhood of dead end roads
sometimes resurrected.
Writer's blocks are building blocks
constructing deconstruction
and more time to think,
because a pen always moving
will run out of ink.
It's a freight train to the brain,
but it's really delivering cargo.
While you rest at the station
watch and wait
for regeneration.
On paper, dead trees re-rise as words:
Treeincarnation.
Book baptized in ink,
Oxygen from pen
Inhale patience,
Exhale ideas once again.
